In August 2015, Endless supported the MBO of Imtech UK & Ireland from Imtech NV, recognising a significant opportunity to recapitalise a market leading group that was experiencing, along with 2,100 employees, uncertainty following its Dutch parent company entering bankruptcy proceedings.

Endless was able to move at speed that others could not match and underwrite the entire transaction, in order to complete the transaction in a matter of weeks.

The Opportunity

Headquartered in Ashford with offices throughout the UK and Ireland, the Group is one of the leading technical service providers in the UK and Ireland.

It has extensive expertise and experience in mechanical and electrical engineering services, technical facilities management services and digital controls solutions, with established and well-respected brands reflecting its high-quality reputation, including Imtech, Suir Engineering, Inviron and Capula.

Its service offering is predominantly provided to construction, industrial, commercial and public sector clients.

Our Impact

Following the acquisition, Endless worked closely with management to refocus its efforts on securing a sustainable pipeline of high-value projects and strengthening its customer relations.

It successfully secured a record order book across its blue-chip client base, both in terms of scale and quality.

Revenue grew consistently during our ownership to c.£400 million alongside an improvement in margin given the focus on enhanced order quality.

The Exit

The strategic exit to EDF Energy Services, a joint venture between EDF Energy and Dalkia,completed in 2017.

Backing and expertise from the EDF Group enables Imtech UK and Ireland to continue to deliver high quality services to new and existing clients and support its growth across the entire business, including in low carbon solutions.
