In January 2021 Enact completed the acquisition of this high profile post production house to support growth.
Evolutions is the third largest independent post-production house in the UK, operating from London and Bristol and specialising in non-scripted, reality television. The business provides services that range from onsite filming support; data management and download; editing, finishing, quality control and delivery to supporting a production team “convert” their raw film content into a finished show.
Customers include most of the UK independent production community, many of which are large blue-chip companies behind recognised household shows. Recent projects and clients include:
- Channel 4 dating series ‘First Dates’ for Twenty Twenty;
- Reality series ‘TOWIE’ and ‘Celebs Go Dating’ for Lime Pictures airing on ITV Be and Channel 4;
- Documentary television series ‘24 Hours in Police Custody’ for The Garden Productions on Channel 4
- Race across the World’ for Studio Lambert for the BBC; and ‘Taskmaster’, for Avalon on Channel 4.
THE IMPACT SO FAR
Enact has invested to support growth and enable Evolutions to significantly expand its premium post-production capabilities, including a brand-new suite of innovative technical solutions for remote working borne out of the production challenges caused by COVID-19.
Enact has also provide investment capital to upgrade production capability to meet the technical requirement of Subscription Viewing on Demand (“SVoD”) providers such as Amazon, Apple and Netflix who are driving a surge in demand for new content.
The business has been onboarded with all major SVoDs and has produced a number of high-profile projects including Epic Adventures of Bertie Gregory and Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl for Disney+ and Chimps for Netflix. The execution of the value creation plan is supporting the business’ continued development.
