Go Plant Fleet Services

Non-Core Acquisition

Go Plant Fleet Services is a leading provider of operated road sweepers, self-drive specialist vehicles, and associated fleet management services.

Headquartered in Ibstock, Leicestershire, the business has more than 40 years’ experience of partnering with local authorities and private sector customers, using its specialist knowledge to understand, anticipate and respond to the individual fleet and service requirements of its customers. This specialist knowledge, together with its own workshops, national footprint, and access to competitive finance rates, adds value whilst reducing costs, risk and complexity for customers.

Go Plant Fleet Services is the result of a merger between two businesses, Essential Fleet Services (acquired from Kier plc in July 2015) and Go Plant (acquired from the Davidsons Homes group in July 2017). The merger brought together two highly complementary businesses that will provide customers with access to specialist vehicles and managed commercial services from one day to more than a decade.  The combination of Essential and Go Plant created a group with sales of £80million, over 500 staff and 35 depots and service centres across the UK.

Endless has invested in Go Plant Fleet Services alongside Andrew Cope, a highly successful contract hire and leasing entrepreneur, who is leading the team through the next stage of its development.

Each of the Essential and Go Plant transactions further enhance Endless’ credentials in acquiring non-core businesses from larger groups.  In both examples we were able to bring a highly efficient process to deliver the buyouts without the need for new debt and including our own internal due diligence, thereby expediting the timetables to completion.
