Yorkshire Vision: Bucking a trend with more women

In last month’s edition of Yorkshire Vision it was reported that women represented less than 10% of Directors of Yorkshires largest companies. Whilst increasing from 5 years ago it reflected a major under representation of the fairer sex in Yorkshire Boardrooms. In all likelihood you would expect similar statistics in our legal, accountancy and private equity firms.

This appears not to be the case at Endless, the transformational investor. This month Endless announced promotions in their Leeds office of Indra Valeinis to Investment Director and Kerry Swain to Associate Director. Together with Associate Director, Lucia Villamor these three ladies make up 50% of Endless’ Yorkshire senior investment team, a rare sight in the world of private equity.

Lee Sweeney of Sharp Consultancy, who handles internal recruitment exclusively for Endless in Yorkshire explains: “Endless have always focused on recruiting the best young talent irrespective of gender. It’s no surprise to me to see these three professionals progressing to senior positions within Endless.”

Endless intends to grow the investment team further in Yorkshire in the coming months to support its growth ambitions.
