Imtech Awarded Birmingham Conservatoire Project
Imtech has been awarded the mechanical and electrical design and installation project on the new £46m Birmingham Conservatoire.
The design team is working closely with main contractor Galliford Try on the initial stages of the project. This will ensure the specified technical services meet the stringent environmental and acoustic criteria required to provide an atmosphere conducive to performance and practice.
The installation team will start on site in July 2016, utilising its extensive off-site prefabrication and services modularisation experience to ensure the construction schedule to deliver the state-of-the-art building to end client, Birmingham City University, by July 2017 is met.
Darron Littlehales, Managing Director, Imtech Engineering Services Central commented: “We are very pleased to be involved in one of Birmingham’s most high-profile projects. We are looking forward to helping provide a world-class musical facility for both students and the wider community.”
